This workshop is for counsellors and psychotherapists who wish to understand more about sexualised trauma and how to work effectively with people who have experienced sexualised trauma.
The day will cover:
- The neurobiology of threat,
- The ‘replay’ in the therapy room and how neurobiology can help us to understand what will get ‘re-enacted’ in the therapeutic work,
- The psychology of the offender,
- The specific vulnerabilities of children and, especially, teenagers to sex offenders,
- Working with guilt and shame.
This day is suitable for any therapist wishing to understand more about this area of work. There will be plenty of opportunities for Q&As with Zoe throughout the day.
