Joe Wilmot works as a trainer, supervisor, coach, mediator and mentor. From frontline delivery to management, he has experience of working in the Third Sector and over a decade of working for a local authority in Youth Services, Education and Family Services. During this time, he worked for several years as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary team working with children at risk of entering care. He developed a talent for helping people make positive changes in their lives and working effectively in complex situations. Joseph is interested in how we stay ‘in relationship’, and the sense of humour this requires.
As a supervisor, he has experience with individuals and groups and has worked with a varied array of people including employees from several London boroughs, Youth Services and parts of the NHS. Joseph has an excellent knowledge of the Seven-Eyed Supervision Model as he currently delivers training in it across the country and works alongside its creators; he has written about his early experience of supervision in Passionate Supervision (ed. Shohet R. Chapter 6, The Born Again Supervisor, Jessica Kingsley Publications 2008).
