Working with suicidal clients can challenge the most experienced of practitioners. Knowing how best to respond, how to manage organisational demands, and ways in which to help clients explore their suicidal thoughts sensitively require commensurate skill.

This workshop provides a space for anyone working with suicidal people to consider the following areas:

  • personal responses to suicide
  • working within organisational expectations
  • the prediction-prevention culture and implications for practice
  • research and risk factors
  • ways of talking about suicide with clients
  • ethical and professional practice

Please note: Andrew has now ceased presenting workshops – this will be one of the last times he will present this workshop in the UK.
